The Upgrade: A Bold Mahogany Statement
The homeowners were looking to replace their standard white entry door, which blended into the light grey brick exterior, creating a somewhat flat visual profile. They selected our striking Fiberglass Door Mahogany 2P. The deep, solid finish of this two-panel door creates a high-end, modern contrast. Crafted from durable fiberglass, it is engineered to withstand harsh snowy winters while offering excellent insulation and robust security.
The Challenge: Uneven Ground and a Request for Total Privacy
This project presented two distinct challenges. First, the homeowner had exceptionally high standards for the final look and specifically requested that no video recording take place during the installation to protect their family’s privacy.
Second, structurally, the existing porch floor was visibly sloped and uneven. When the new door was initially positioned, this uneven ground made the bottom sill appear slightly unaligned—a detail that the sharp-eyed homeowner immediately noticed and expressed valid concern over.

Instead, our installers meticulously leveled the entire door system using precisely placed custom wood shims to counteract the sloped ground. Once we achieved a perfectly straight and structurally sound alignment, we applied a heavy-duty silicone seal along the base. This expert sealing not only flawlessly masked the height difference created by the shims but also guaranteed a weather-tight, draft-free entryway to keep the winter chill out.
