Every installation brings its own set of unique variables, and our recent project on March 5th at 53 Beacham Crest was a true test of our team’s endurance, patience, and unwavering commitment to quality.
The Upgrade: A Striking Mahogany Transformation
The homeowners were looking to completely refresh their home’s access points by replacing both their front and back doors on the same day. For the main entrance, they chose to upgrade from an older, standard white door to our elegant Fiberglass Door Mahogany 2P.
The deep, rich dark mahogany finish instantly modernized the classic red-brick facade. Paired with a full-length clear sidelight, the new entryway looks significantly wider, more inviting, and highly contemporary, while the robust fiberglass construction ensures long-lasting durability and superior insulation.
The Challenge: Hardware Setbacks and Spatial Constraints
A dual-door replacement is already a full day’s work, but this project quickly presented unexpected hurdles.
First, when it came time to install the back door, we discovered that the lockset the customer had pre-purchased independently did not fit the new door’s specifications. This required an unexpected trip to source a correct, compatible lock, which significantly delayed our original timeline.
Furthermore, the physical layout of the front porch was quite restrictive. The narrow space and existing railings meant that our usual multi-person installation strategy wasn’t feasible. The entire front door extraction, frame leveling, and heavy fiberglass installation had to be executed by a single installer.

Starting promptly at 9:00 AM, he worked meticulously and tirelessly throughout the entire day. He absorbed the time lost from the lockset delay by simply working harder and longer, refusing to compromise on the rigorous leveling, sealing, and calibration standards MapleFort is known for.
The Final Result
As seen in the final installation photos, our installer was still making the final perfect adjustments as the sun went down and the evening streetlights came on.
